This year we booked the Church and, as usual, invited a whole bunch of kids - around 17 or so. Amanda worked hard making cup cakes, snacks, and decorations for the party, as well as give-away bags and "bath bombs."
Here is a picture of Abigail enjoying her cupcakes with her friends at the party. There were two boys that had attended, besides Abigail's own family members.
Here is a picture of some of the kids sitting around a table.

Eventually, the present opening was organized so that it happened much more orderly.
Here is Abigail joking about the car keys that Chloe M.'s little infant brother had slipped into the gift bag meant for Abigail. A new van! That's quite a birthday present.

The party went okay. All those kids were pretty good at making a mess, though, so there was a lot of clean up needed afterward. Also, one unfortunate occurrence was that while the party was going, our friend Amanda S.'s little boy Hutton escaped the building unbeknownst to any of us. He was found trying to cross the busy road by some drivers. The police were called and a policeman showed up, who was unfortunately obliged to send a report to CPS about it. However, the officer, recognizing the innocence of the circumstances, said that he would put in his report a recommendation that they not pursue anything.
